The client is an industry leader, designing and manufacturing wood-based panels. The property is located a few minutes from the center of Paderborn, right at the intersection between a residential and an industrial area. This connection defines the base for our concept of a long building in-between two urban contexts.

A 170m long single story hall structure bridges the two urban areas and therefore adapts different symbolic attributes from each side. The roof moves smoothly from a pitched- into a flat roof, referring to the housing zone and industrial zone on either side.

The modern layout with workspaces on a single level promotes social exchange, innovation and saves building costs.
